Meet cammie

Mom of three. public servant. builder.

Cammie has spent over two decades fighting to make life better for working families.

she knows how to get things done.

From growing up in poverty in a small railroad town to serving in the Obama White House, Cammie knows firsthand the challenges families face. From groceries to child care to energy bills, it’s all getting harder — faster — for working families. Cammie has a record of taking on tough challenges and bringing people together to deliver results. In Congress, she’ll fight to make life more affordable and politics more accountable for the people of Northern New Jersey.

Raised by a working mom who supported four kids on a waitress’s tips

Cammie’s mom had four kids by the time she was 20 years old. Cammie learned early that kindness, grit, and hard work can change lives. Her mom’s “good deed of the day” practice — from sharing the last dollar in her wallet to helping neighbors in need — instilled in her a lifelong commitment to service.

The first in her immediate family to graduate from college, Cammie has dedicated her career to bringing people together to drive real change — from helping pass the Affordable Care Act in the Obama White House, to advancing humane, bipartisan immigration reforms, to building a clean energy nonprofit that helps families lower their energy bills.

Cammie is running for Congress because she believes politics should be about helping people, not serving special interests. Her priorities are clear: lowering costs for families, ending corruption, and building a stronger, fairer economy that works for everyone.

Cammie has built a career on delivering real results:

"What will you do?"

“Running for Congress was never part of my plan, but I realized that one day my kids will ask me what I did, and when they ask, I need to be able to tell them that I did everything I possibly could.”

Cammie, her husband, and their three energetic kids live in Northern New Jersey, where they’re active in their community and committed to making it an even better place to live. Whether fighting for affordable healthcare, protecting Medicare and SNAP, or investing in clean energy and modern infrastructure, Cammie brings the same relentless focus she brings to being a mom: show up, work hard, and never stop until the job is done.
