MONTCLAIR, NJ — Cammie Croft, candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th District, today issued the following statement congratulating Mikie Sherrill on her decisive 13-point victory in the race for Governor of New Jersey.

“Mikie Sherrill and her team have done what they’ve done time and again — gone into tough races, been underestimated, and won. She is undefeated in tough contests, and she’s done it by staying true to who she is: a mom and a fighter who knows how to deliver for New Jersey families.

At a time when rising costs are crushing our neighbors and a corrupt White House cares only about enriching themselves and their billionaire friends, Mikie showed up — to fight and to serve. Her plan to make New Jersey more affordable, including freezing energy rates on day one, centers on what New Jersey families need most: a leader who is squarely on their side.

I couldn’t be prouder to call Mikie Sherrill my Governor-elect. She’s proven that when Democrats organize around real issues, talk to people about their lives, and lead with integrity, we win. And last night, New Jersey showed what it looks like when we do just that.”

    Croft added:

“Mikie’s win wasn’t just historic — it was “utterly dominant,” to quote the New Jersey Globe, for her and women candidates across the country, including Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger in Virginia. It’s a reminder that when we come together, fight for working families, and refuse to give in to cynicism, we can build a future that works for everyone.”
